Call 484-502-7360 if you need help finding us
Parking, walkways, buildings, and restrooms are all handicapped-accessible.
The farm itself is not handicapped accessible (walking only over grassy terrain: not wheelchair, walker, or stroller-friendly), so this is something to keep in mind as we discuss the event you wish to schedule.
Private events can be scheduled on most weekdays or weekends from late spring through late fall, depending on topic.
If you wish to also have the opportunity to shop at our farm store while you’re here, we’ll want to schedule your event for a Thursday through Sunday.
Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your arranged starting time.
We do have the ability to park a tour bus or two
What to Bring:
- Snacks/beverages as desired or needed, based on the event
- A camera and sense of adventure, depending on the event
What NOT to Bring:
- Pets or other animals (service animals welcome)
- Additional guests without checking in with us ahead of time.
Depending on your event, weather may or may not play a role.
For example…for a sit-down tasting, we can be indoors our outdoors, so there will be no need to postpone or cancel. For outdoor events, such as a tour or photo/art op, we may need to postpone or reschedule, but we will plan to hold the event unless the weather is extreme, so please dress accordingly.
Weather conditions can vary and change quickly. Please check the forecast and make sure you’re are prepared with the proper attire for the projected weather and outdoor conditions. Be prepared for changes in temperature, wind, or a surprise rain shower by bringing a jacket. Morning grass is often wet, and temperatures can range from downright chilly in the morning to teeshirt – warm in the afternoon. Wear or bring layers as well as appropriate footwear (waterproof/water resistant recommended for dewey grass, but sneakers, sturdy sandals (like Keens or Tevo) or other sensible footwear is fine).
Some other weather-related items you may want to consider are sunscreen, bug spray, and sunglasses or a hat.
We will cancel due to weather only if we feel the conditions would make your visit unsafe or completely valueless.
If your plans change, you may cancel your reservation up to 7 days prior to the date booked and receive a full refund. Any cancellations that occur less than 7 days prior to your reserved date will be refunded at 50%. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to your reserved date are not refundable (except due to extreme weather conditions, noted above).
If your plans change and you simply need to modify your reservation date, time, or number of attendees, please contact us as soon as possible to try to make other arrangements.
If we need to cancel for any reason (weather-related or otherwise), we will work with you to either come up with an alternative date for your experience or will refund your registration fee in full.
NSO is a working farm, and while we strive to provide as safe an environment as possible, we require your help in staying safe during your visit. Please:
- Adhere to all instructions and/or warnings the farm staff and/or farm signage provide.
- Review above suggestions on this webpage about what to wear and bring so you remain comfortable and safe.
The North Star Orchard farm staff reserve the right to cancel/stop your activity in progress if the above guidelines on this webpage are not adhered to. Our concern is for the safety and enjoyment of you and your group, our staff, and the farm itself. Refunds will not be issued if we need to stop your activity in this manner.
